Girls Showdown

The PepsiCo Showdown Girls is a high school varsity soccer tournament- the largest in the United States. Each team is seeded and placed in a single-elimination winner’s bracket. College coaches love that they can come to one site and see more than 1,000 players on back-to-back Saturdays. All players and teams participate in the AthletiCo combine, too. Results are provided to college coaches.

Where: Olympic Park, 1675 Old Schaumburg Rd, Schaumburg 

2014 dates: All teams play on first four dates: Sat., April 12 (all teams at Olympic Park), Tues., April 15 (home/away), Thurs., April 17 (home/away) and Sat., April 19 (all teams at Olympic Park). Title game - Toyota Park, April 27.

Contest times: The locations and pairings for the rounds will be posted on the tournament website for all athletic offices and coaches to see. The 2014 tournament seeding will be announced at 9 p.m. on Monday, April 7. The host school determines the start time for games it hosts. Once decided, those times should be emailed to

Overtime scoring: Two, 10-minute golden-goal overtimes and shootout will only be used for all winner bracket games. All other games will end in a tie. If the game goes to overtime, it will count as a win or loss toward a team’s overall record.
